Hunting Pheasant!

Hunting Pheasant for a lot of us is not just a hobby but a way of life.  Season approaches and all we think about is hunting pheasant.  When it is open season, we create our schedule to hunt pheasant as often as possible.  And when the season is over, we analyze how and where we could have had a more successful pheasant hunting season.

So, like many of you when I travel I look for potential pheasant hunting areas.  I have already driven through seven different states this summer with vast varieties of landscape.  I have seen the Rocky mountain ranges with its splendor and the great western states with vast valleys, deserts, open ranges, and more.  What I have come to realize however, is that my home terrain of the southwestern plains of Kansas is hard to beat when it comes to hunting pheasant.  We have thick quality cover, unending supply of feed and the climate to entice any wandering pheasant.  Within a 60 mile stretch, I saw over a dozen cock pheasants strutting their stuff with hens and chicks in multitudes.
